First Half of 2026 Review: Abessis Consolidates Its Growth

The first half of 2026 has enabled Abessis to consolidate its growth and prepare for a particularly busy second half of the year.

These first six months have been an opportunity to move forward with major projects, strengthen the team and continue earning the trust of leading national and international brands.

Six Months of Strategic Projects

Between January and June, Abessis worked on projects for clients across a wide range of sectors, from retail and food service to fitness. Brands such as Hollister, LEGO, KIKO Milano, ON AIR, Planet Fitness, Synergym, McDonald’s and Normal entrusted the company with the development of new spaces, as well as refurbishments and extensions, both nationally and internationally.

This period also reflects one of Abessis’ main strengths: its ability to manage projects of different types and scales simultaneously. From new openings to full refurbishments and extensions, the team has responded to the specific needs of each client.

The First-Half Figures

The first half of 2026 provides a highly representative snapshot of Abessis’ activity. During this period, the company delivered projects for eight brands across ten cities in Spain and Portugal, including Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valladolid and Coimbra, further consolidating its presence in both markets.

The projects covered a wide range of floor areas, from interventions of 39 m² to developments exceeding 2,000 m², demonstrating Abessis’ ability to adapt to projects of different scales.

Laying the Foundations for Further Growth

Although the volume of construction work completed during these first few months was more moderate than in other periods, the company remained highly active in terms of project studies and tenders.

As Ainhoa Rosell, Project Manager at Abessis, explains: “In terms of project delivery, the first half of the year was generally quieter. By contrast, project studies and tenders never stopped. This allows us to sow the seeds during one part of the year and reap the rewards afterwards.”

This growth has also been reflected within the team itself. The arrival of new professionals and their integration into the company were key features of the first half of the year. Abessis has strengthened its organisational structure to respond to the expected increase in activity.

A Team Ready for New Challenges

Juan Guaita, CEO of Abessis, approaches the coming months with caution: “We are looking at the second half of the year with great respect, as we are fairly convinced that too many projects have been delayed in getting started. This could create a significant imbalance between the first and second six months of the year.”

In this context, planning and responsiveness will be crucial. As Juan adds: “Carefully selecting projects and adapting our capacity to the actual volume of work we can manage without compromising quality will be key.”

The expansion of the team will also play a decisive role. Juan remains optimistic and highlights that “the combination with those who have the greatest experience within the company will be fundamental,” confident that, as on previous occasions, the process will once again be a success.

José Manzano, Project Manager at Abessis, sums up the company’s new phase in one sentence: “The family is growing, moving into its new home and preparing to take the next step.”

Looking Ahead with Confidence

Everything indicates that the coming months will concentrate a significant share of the activity planned for 2026. The project schedule already includes work for long-standing clients, as well as new collaborations that will continue to expand Abessis’ experience across different sectors.

With a consolidated track record, a growing team and a portfolio of highly significant projects, Abessis enters the second half of the year with the same philosophy that has guided the company from the outset: a combination of planning, excellence and close client relationships. The objective remains unchanged: to create spaces that provide value, reflect the brand’s DNA and improve the user experience.
